Thomas Cook Children's Charity
Since 2009, more than £5 million has been raised through generous donations from employees and customers of Thomas Cook Airlines and Thomas Cook UK & Ireland.
The Thomas Cook Children’s Charity was established in 2009 with an aim to improve children’s lives and the communities in which they live. Through donations of unwanted foreign currency on our return flights to the UK and to date, you have raised more than £1.6 million. The Children’s Charity also benefits from a donations made from the profit of Bingo Cards sold on board Thomas Cook flights and to date this, together with the £1 donation from the sale of our Tommy and Tilly Teddy Bears, has brought more than £61,000 further income to the charity.
Going forward, the Children’s Charity will further its work through charity partners in five key strategic focus areas of health, water, education, disasters and emergencies and environment. Other areas of focus are the communities in which we live and work, you, our customers and employees of Thomas Cook Airlines and Thomas Cook UK & Ireland who we encourage to recommend projects in their local communities for the Children’s Charity to work with.
