Baggage

Everything you need to know

Just taking a bag on the plane?

How much you can take in the cabin changes depending on where you're flying to and which class you book. We recommend you double check this before packing.

If you're thinking of booking our Economy Light class, you'll only have hand baggage – up to 6 kg. That's a small bag. Pack really light, rolling clothes tight, or pay for hold baggage if you think you'll need it.

Don't forget to weigh your bags before leaving home – ordinary bathroom scales are as good as any.

Travelling with little ones?

Children under two years old, sitting on an adults lap, have a free baggage allowance of 10 kg. You may stow up to two of these items in the hold for free:

  • Stroller or buggy
  • Crib
  • Child car seats

There is no additional carry-on luggage allowance for infants.

Pre-book extra bags

Know you’re going to need extra space? Pay for it in advance and you’ll save money. You can add another bag at the airport if you prefer; just bear in mind it’ll cost more.

If you're taking sports equipment...

Golfers, divers, extreme sports lovers – book space for your gear on the plane at least 30 days before you fly. You'll get an early booking discount if you do.
