Tenerife in October
Weather in Tenerife in October
Tenerife in October has just started to quieten down after the summer rush of fiestas and families seeking sunshine, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less beautiful.
The sun is still going strong at an average of 22°C and its cool enough to explore the island’s natural scenery but hot enough that you can still take a dip in the 24°C waters, or soak up some rays on the golden sands.
Tenerife South weather
If you're an all-year-round sun chaser then there's nowhere better to visit than the Canary Islands and, in particular, Tenerife. Tenerife enjoys year round sun and high temperatures and the south of the island is particularly mild. If it’s partying you’re after than Playa Las Americas has sandy man-made beaches and vibrant nightlife. Nearby Los Cristianos is great for water sports and if golf is your game then the island is full of golf resorts. I love the rugged coastline and black sands of Golf del Sur, a resort built around a golf course.
Sandy beaches and rugged coastline – Tenerife has it all.
There’s also plenty to do on the island. If you’re feeling fit, Mount Teide is the highest point in Spain – and is also an active volcano! The views from the top are breath-taking and on a clear day you can see Gran Canaria and La Palma. If it’s adrenaline you’re after, Siam Park is a Thai-themed adventure water park with some huge slides. The north of the island is quieter and less touristy and, if you hire a car, it’s easy to get off the beaten track and discover a more sedate side to Tenerife.Samantha, Travel and Lifestyle blogger: cocotravels.co.uk
