Lanzarote in October
Weather in Lanzarote in October
Now that summer has officially ended, Lanzarote’s weather tends to become a little milder, though that’s no disadvantage as now you can explore the incredible volcanic landscape on foot or by cycle without having to deal with scorching summer temperatures.
But summer or not, Lanzarote in October is still paradise at 23°C – which is a great deal sunnier than the UK at this time of year!
At home, the leaves are starting to turn and the winter coats and boots are making a reappearance but in Lanzarote, October still means warmth, sunny blue skies, fragrant balmy air allowing you to enjoy those long lazy tapas lunches that Spain is so famous for. Playa Blanca at the southern tip of the island is an ideal location for families with protected beaches, ideal for your little ones to splash around and plenty of hotels, shops and restaurants to suit even the most discerning of traveller.
It’s a mistake to never leave the beach
Lanzarote is a volcanic island and away from the glittering shores lies Timanfaya National Park, full of black sands, rugged peaks and foreign planet-like craters. Here you can go on a camel ride, explore the geysers and even sample some of Lanzarote's unique wines. Lanzarote is a small island and it’s very easy to drive around. A journey to the northern tip of the island is well worth the effort to see the Mirador del Rio – a unique cave into the rock showcasing Lanzarote’s most magnificent view, perched high up into the hills.Manasi, Foodie and Travel Blogger: inher30s.com
