Majorca in May
Weather in Majorca in May
Come May, Majorca’s springtime is in full bloom and the island is perhaps at its most beautiful. You’ll get enough sun to soak on the beach, with average daily temperatures sitting around 18°C, but it will still be cool enough to embark on some active adventures,
of which there are many to be found here. Afterwards, you’ll find the evenings warm enough to dine and drink outdoors till the early hours.
Palma de Majorca weather
To many visitors, Palma is just a gateway to the sun soaked beaches of Mallorca. The popular resorts of Magaluf and Palma Nova are less than 30 mins away and even the resorts in the north are only an hours drive.
Until our first visit about 4 years ago we had no idea how stylish and diverse the Mallorcan capital was. From the rambling streets and quirky cafés of the old town to the beautiful boulevard and designer shops of the Passeig del Born, Mallorca is a perfect city in which to simply wander and soak in the Mediterranean atmosphere.
We just fell in the love with the elegance and unique character of Palma
Stroll or rent a bike and ride along the promenade of Palma Marina, where you can fantasy shop the luxury yachts and decide which to buy when you win the lottery.
Try a cocktail in Bar Abaco if only for the incredible decor. Down a narrow street and behind a large simple wooden door lies a shadowy candlelit courtyard dressed with fruit and flowers, looking like a set from a Peter Greenaway film.
Finally, you must visit the stunning gothic Palma cathedral, La Seu which proudly sits in the centre of the city overlooking the blue Mediterranean Sea.
