Barbados in January
Weather in Barbados in January
It’s little wonder that Barbados is popular in the winter months – when home is freezing over, the weather in Barbados is a sizzling 25°C. January in Barbados is all about balmy evenings and blue skies.
Being outside the hurricane season and in a relatively dry season, January is the perfect time for a romantic trip to the Caribbean, whether that’s dining on fresh fish or relaxing in the 27°C waves.
If you’re looking for a relaxing, luxurious and fun holiday then put Barbados on your list. Stunning beaches, crystal clear waters, palm trees and the opportunity to swim with turtles makes this a tropical paradise. Enjoy a rum punch under a palm tree, enjoy the glorious weather and soak up the chilled vibes. On Sunday, indulge in the famous brunch at Sandy Lane. Not only is it an absolutely stunning setting overlooking the beach and their iconic pink umbrellas, the food stations are amazing - from sushi to grilled fish and BBQ meat, you'll be spoilt for choice. Come hungry!
Barbadians are some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet
Whilst the resorts are quiet and relaxing, to get a true experience of local life take a trip to Oistins fishing village for a fish fry up on a Friday night and mingle with the locals who definitely love to party! Packed full of vendors, they will fry or grill your fish in front of you. Then, grab a drink and a seat at a table, listen to live music and chat with a Bajan - all for around $20. Another really fun, although quite touristy, thing to do is dinner and a show at Harbour Lights. Enjoy dinner whilst watching Carnival Queens, dancers, musicians and fire breathers. For a more romantic and upmarket dinner experience, The Cliff is the place to be. A breath-taking setting on a cliff, where you can see fish swimming below you. Barbados really is a paradise.Kirsty, Travel Blogger: whatkirstydidnext.com
