All New Jersey flights
A holiday to New Jersey can be many things – days spent on sandy beaches, hours exploring fascinating museums, close encounters with wildlife or even a spot of gambling at the famous casinos of Atlantic City. Starting with the famous Jersey Shore, you’ve got the hustle and bustle of Atlantic City where you can indulge with ice cream or casinos, fairground rides or walks along the boardwalk. But it doesn’t just stop there, Jersey Shore is also home to gorgeous city seaside resorts like Ocean City where you can rent boats, go snorkeling, fishing, golfing or just relax on the 8 miles of sand and surf. There’s also Long Beach Island, an 18-mile-long island of golden sands, the family-friendly Fantasy Island Amusement Park and even a couple of fantastic waterparks.
Away from the shore, you’ve got the famous city of Princeton, home to the world-class university of the same name. Here you’ve got a free world-class art museum with its mix of art exhibitions from ancient to contemporary age, expansive parks and plenty of shops, restaurants and bars to indulge in. Over in Cape May there’s New Jersey’s number one attraction on TripAdvisor – the Cape May County Park & Zoo. While not a huge zoo, it is well-kept and full of fascinating animals, along with plenty of great places to sit and enjoy a picnic. Another animal-lovers’ must see is the Jersey Shore Alpaca farm in Cape May where you can feed and pet a number of friendly alpacas.
If you’re looking for outdoor activities, definitely don’t miss ‘Grounds for Sculpture’ in Hamilton. These gorgeous outdoor gardens are filled with an array of sculptures by emerging, local and international artists and the workshops are great for learning more about sculpture. You’re not short on beautiful parks in New Jersey and our favourites are the Hoboken Waterfront Walkway which gives spectacular views over Manhattan, and the gigantic Liberty State Park in Jersey City. There’s also the Thomas Edison National Historical Park in West Orange if you’re up for a spot of history.
If the kids (or even you!) are after some more excitement, Storybook Land in Egg Harbor Township is a wonderful little amusement park, or Morey's Piers and Beachfront Water Parks in Wildwood is a little more extreme for the bigger kids amongst you. Whatever adventures you’re after, New Jersey has got plenty of them. With activities as diverse as the cities of New Jersey, a holiday here will seem like several!
